Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs Brussels Sprouts, washed and halved lengthwise

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tbsp kosher salt

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup

  • 1/2 cup olive oil, divided in half

  • balsamic glaze

  • toppings: pecans, bacon, goat cheese, craisins

Preheat oven to 450F. Place an empty baking sheet in the oven to preheat.

  • Cut Brussels Sprouts lengthwise into halves and transfer to a bowl. Season with 1/4 cup of the olive oil along with kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and honey or maple syrup. Add pecans, bacon, and craisins. Mix until all the brussels sprouts are evenly coated.

  • Once the baking sheet is hot, carefully set it on a heatproof surface and drizzle about 1/4 cup of olive oil evenly across the baking sheet.

  • Carefully add the mixed brussels sprouts and place them flat side down on the tray.

  • Roast the brussels sprouts in the oven for 15 minutes, then flip the sprouts and top with goat cheese and balsamic glaze. Roast for an additional 10 minutes, or until crispy.
