Information Design

Unlocking the power of data through visualization

Drawing on a diverse foundation in science and math, my approach to data visualization is rooted in precision and analytical thinking. For every project, I research and study the subject to deeper understand the data and the message. This unique blend of disciplines allows me to create engaging content that:

  • Resonates with audiences

  • Conveys insights that might otherwise be easily overlooked

  • Enables viewers to make informed decisions based on the information at hand

By leveraging my own passion for learning, I am able to transform raw data into the most compelling design possible, ensuring that my visual representations are not only aesthetically engaging but also accurate and insightful.

Learning Materials

I’ve created numerous diagrams for textbooks, posters, and other educational materials.

Sales & Advertising

Numbers speak louder than words - even more-so when they are clear and easily understood at a glance.

Maps & Geopositioning

These map designs can be simplified for easy viewing, or to-scale for syncing with geolocation data.

Matching your style

The importance of consistency in design is to maintain the integrity of your brand.
I am dedicated to creating artwork that seamlessly integrates with your current design style.

Powerpoints

With experience in both graphic design and data visualization, I can transform cluttered and confusing presentations into professional displays of research.

I will match the current design aesthetic for a smooth transition, from simple suggestions to collaborative designs.

Use in animation and video

In addition to still images, I craft storyboards tailored for informative videos. Each frame is thoughtfully designed to flow seamlessly, guiding viewers through complex information with clarity and precision.

Program Summaries and Certificates

Who says certificates have to be boring? In my designs, I combine playful illustrations with information covered over the program to create custom summaries and awards.

Wayfinding and Placards

Map and safety guide designs are approached with meticulous attention to detail. With every design, the purpose and audience are the primary focal points.

My Mind and Information Architecture

My approach to information architecture mirrors my own mind. Whenever I learn anything, I strive to condense large amounts of information into their core truths - all done visually in my head. Not only does this make it easier for me to remember and digest, I am also constantly designing information architecture in my thoughts.

While learning about music mixing and mastering, I found countless resources describing bits and pieces of information, as well as conflicting “facts”. After reading physics textbooks, scientific journals, and mixing tutorials, I combined everything into this graphic so I could better understand the “truth” of sound.

A family member asked if his bed would fit in his new apartment, but didn’t know the measurements. I created this graphic to help him estimate based off of the US standard interior door frame and his current desk.

After a friend was confused as to what “aesthetic” she was, she asked me for advice on how to dress that would best suit her body. I developed this system to categorize through measurements.
